Most patients would only have one set of blood samples taken, and it would not be everyday. Taking blood samples too often would not be good for your body. The person taking your blood might take enough to fill two or three different tubes worth of blood. This is because the tubes which the blood is collected into contain different chemicals, to look at your blood in slightly different ways. Our tests are designed to use as little of your blood as possible, so a hospital can do a lot of different tests from one blood tube from each patient.
