Question: is there anything us students can do to help cancer research or help people with cancer? it would be nice to do anything we can to help people in need?
I think there are several ways you could help. You could do things like fund raising for cancer charities. Maybe talk to your teachers at school, or if you are part of any youth clubs.
Depending on your age, you might be able to volunteer at a hospice. I have read that some places let children visit and read to patients.
Another thing is that it is good to talk about our health. Sometimes people, men in particular, may have symptoms but choose to ignore them. It could be nothing but better to go to the doctor and ask rather than worry about it. Of course, it is not appropriate to ask adults and others if they have any symptoms but just talking about how we feel can be a good start. Again, this might not be an age appropriate activity.
