I live in Malvern, in Worcestershire, with my cat and my mum and daughter. I am a food safety consultant which means that I help business owners to sort out their food safety usually after a visit from a client or the local EHO (Environmental Health Officer) who has found a problem with their paperwork.

I have three daughters and one lives at home the other two live in London and Hertfordshire, near Stansted airport. I love motorsport particularly F1 and banger car racing. I enjoy reading, particularly Harry Potter and similar books.
My favourite food is Chinese or Indian> M youngest daughter can make good chapattis. I bake bread and cakes.

I work with food and drink businesses to sort out their food safety. Usually this means getting their paperwork in order, so that their customers and the local regulators such as Trading Standards and environmental health are happy. I also help with complaint investigations. these are the most challenging and interesting part of my job.

My Typical Day:
I wake up and have breakfast,after a shower and getting dressed which depends on whether i am working in a freezer or a hot environment,If I am visiting a site,usually I work in cold or chilled spaces so i have to wrap up warm. Layers are key to keeping warm in freezers and other refrigerated areas.
If I am visiting a client, I arrive on site at about 10am and meet with the people in charge of the site. We walk around site and get changed as appropriate into the uniform of the areas I am visiting. I get a feeling for the areas that there are problems with and I note down anything that I wish to raise later. After a meeting to discuss the site and my findings and comments, I go home.
If I am working from home or a co working space, I have a laptop which I set up and can be working on emails, blogs, customer paperwork or any other work which needs doing.
