I think it is yet to come.
But, as far as I reached, my Newton Fellowship, I may say is my biggest achievement.

I lead a project team who were setting up 4 important clinical trials in rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriasis which would be using a new drug. We had to set them up in an entirely new computer system whilst using new standards for designing the forms and all whilst trying to do it in a very short period of time. I was working with team members in the UK, US and India. It was really hard but we did it on time.

I’m not a professional academic, but I have published several papers on something that simply interested me. That’s the essence of being a researcher: asking a question and finding out that there isn’t always an accepted answer available thru the internet search engine. It happens more often than you’d think.

Obtained a post graduate degree (PhD) from University of Aberdeen. This was a very challenging 5 years for me as I had 2 very young kids then. Having said that, It was very rewarding, learnt lots of microbiology stuff, supported undergraduate students during laboratory practical sessions, travelled to different places to attend conferences and seminars, developed skills including communication, critical thinking and organisational skills.

I think getting a prize for a presentation I did at a conference. Public speaking makes me SO nervous that I feel sick, so it meant a lot that I had improved that much!
