• Question: why do you want to solve cancer

      My job isn’t directly looking to prevent or cure cancer but the work I do does involve detecting it earlier and giving a better prognosis using MRI scans so that they can get the most appropriate treatment. Obviously I’d be delighted if cancer was no longer a thing but it’s not something I’m likely to solve.

      Cancer is the leading cause of death in the UK causing around 450 deaths per day on average so anything we can do to reduce that number has to be a good thing.
