They are a great representation of the diversity of our planet. I believe that we have become to focused on humans, and that actually we can learn a great deal about biology and the world around us by studying animals. They are fascinating!

I love animals because they’re sentient beings (they have feelings and emotions, like people) so they are all individuals with their own personality. It takes time to get to know them, since because they can’t speak we have to rely on observing their behaviour to understand what they’re communicating to us. Some species of animals are incredibly clever and it’s fascinating to watch them and learning about how clever they are when it comes to solving problems and managing their day to day life.
