• Question: why are dogs not aloud chocolate

      There are things in chocolate that are toxic to them. There’s a chemical in cocoa called theobromine that can make them very sick or even kill them if they eat enough of it. The size of the dog matters for how much would do harm, small dogs can’t take as much.

      It’s actually poisonous to humans too if we eat enough of it but I think it takes more to make us sick than dogs of the same size and then also humans are bigger than a lot of types of dog which means we can eat more.
