      Want to be a D&T/Engineering Technician? Awesome choice!
      You’ll need a mix of practical skills and technical know-how. Think:

      Design: sketching ideas, using software to create 3D models
      Materials: understanding how different materials behave (wood, metal, plastics)
      Manufacturing: building and testing prototypes, using tools and machinery
      Problem-solving: figuring out how to make things work (and fixing them when they don’t!)
      Teamwork: collaborating with others to bring ideas to life

      It’s a hands-on career where you get to turn ideas into REAL things.

      Ask your D&T teacher about different engineering specialisms – there are tons of cool options out there!

    I would say go all out and have some fun with software that might be available at your school. Try out CAD softwares, play around with 3D printing and even creating your own models online! There are so many things to learn in DT, even including woodwork where lasers are used for engraving.
