      I currently have 25 animals made up of 1 Sphynx cat, 2 Guinea pigs, 3 snakes, 1 frog and 18 Tarantulas!

      Outside of work i mainly keep busy running 3 times a week with my favourite type of running being cross country, I partake in the cross country league each year with my local running club. when I have time I also enjoy paddle boarding, open water swimming and some horse riding.

      I am a very crafty person and will try anything once and also love to read.

      I am an Analyst for ThermoFisher Scientific, I assist the sales team to sell through a tool called Salesforce. Building reports/dashboards and supporting improvements, such as AI.

      Salesforce is a fully online tool that our sales team have access to on a day to day basis. They use this to find their customers, log their meeings with those customers and keep track of any opportunties they have in their pipeline (products they are selling to customers).

      I support the team by training users how to use the tools available as well as creating reports and dashboards for them to use to keep track of their customers. The part I love most is developing the tool, such as incorporating our own AI (Gene AI)Ā  and to make it more user friendly for our team so they can focus more on selling to our customers!

      Thermofisher is a Global company that manufactuers and distributes science products to companys such as big pharma who create vaccinations to universities that do research and everyone inbetween!

       

    • My Typical Day:

      My working day starts at 9am, I check what meetings I have for the day so i can plan my day around those. I will check for starters and leavers in the sales team and adjust our team tools accordingly. I will then start my task list for the day. Lunch will be around half 12, and my afternoon is finishing the days tasks and then ending my day at 5pm (4pm on a Friday)

      My tasks can vary depending on what work I am doing at the time. It can range from creating reports and dashboards to partaking in project work such as working on new features.

      I get to travel a couple of times a year to our European sales Conference and too my favourite event of the year salesforce World Tour London!

       

    • What I'd do with the prize money:

      I would show students a day in the life of our products by inviting them to a ThermoFisher site, to show all the different roles and employees it takes to sell products.

      If possible I would try to use my connections with the sales team to arrange a trip to one of our customers that utilise our equipment and products to show how they are used in research ect.
