Like Rachael, I really like how collaborative science is – what I discover, or learn, or share, feeds in to what this whole community knows. Everyone wants to help each other and everyone cares about the same things.

For me, these are probably the fun things… discovering new things especially when working as part of a team with other scientists and with students. Getting to know people across the world who work in the same area of science as you is fun as it means sometimes you get the chance to travel and see the world.
