I currently work in Compliance within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Whenever something unexpected happens within the production of vaccines, for example the vaccine failing some quality control tests – like pH values that are out of specification – I investigate the issue and try to find the answer. I really like working within pharmaceutical manufacturing. In the future, I’d like to be a QP – or qualified person. The QP signs to say that any medicines produced, like vaccines and pills, are safe to leave the production site and be released for use by humans or animals in the UK, depending on if it’s Human or Veterinary products. The QP has the final say after the medicine is produced and bears a lot of responsibility. I find it fascinating!
