• Question: What have you found out about electrolytes in batteries so far?

      They all have the same essential components of a primary solvent and a salt to enable ions to flow. Some are more safe using water while others are less safe using flammable solvents. Most of the salts are hazardous too , not your simple NaCl but rather something like LiPF6 or H2SO4. There are also additives mixed in to make the battery work better for different purposes. So electrolytes are quite complex mixtures for the many different types of batteries and even for very similar types of batteries that are meant for very different purposes.
