• Question: What are your thought on flat earthers?

      I think that some people really like very simple answers and some enjoy challenging popular ideas, which is fine. Unfortunately, the Earth is not simple and the flat Earth idea gives worse explanations than a near-spherical Earth to things that we see and can measure. For example, if the Earth was a disc how would gravity work as we know it does? It can’t, because it is a force that acts near-equally towards a centre of mass, so the Earth would not survive long as a disc or being flat as gravity would eventually turn it into a ball-like shape.
