As an astrochemist, I explore the role of chemistry in space from its observational role of telling us about local environmental properties at distant parts of our Galaxy and the Universe through understanding the role of molecules in helping to make small stars like our Sun and how their arrangement of molecular dipoles in ices in cold environments might trigger that process to addressing the biggest question of all… How did we get here and is there life elsewhere in our Galaxy and in the Universe.
