I went to university after A-levels. So I stayed at school until 18, but where I lived that was the option.

After GCSEs, I went to a 6th form college to do my A-levels. I then went on to university to do my undergraduate degree, and I am now at a different university studying for my PhD!

After my GCSEs I went to University to study Applied Microbiology. I relocated to the Uk and studied Molecular Microbiology and then did my PhD in Medical Sciences. In total I have spent 12 years at University, it has taken a slightly longer route for me but it was well worth it.

After doing O’levels and A’levels I was luck to get a job in a Microbiology lab as my grades were not good enough to get straight into University. During work I went on a day release course to a local College for 2 years and gained an HNC in Biological Sciences. The grades from this were enough to get into university so I took 3 years unpaid leave and did a BSc in Microbiology. I then went back to my old job when this finished which helped my career. About 25 years later I had an opportunity to move into a different sphere of science through the company I worked for, so did a part time BSc in Pharmaceutical Science which was completed online (while still working) for just over 2 years. This enabled me to transfer to the new area of work I am in now.

after doing my GCSEs and A-levels at school/sixth form I went on to University for my undergraduate degree, then to another University for my Masters degree, then another one for my PhD.
