      What hypothesis exactly?

I don’t create the original hypothesis in the work I do.
I work closely with other scientists and engineers to create control systems for their ideas.
We work together to design the best way of doing things.
Implementing the ideas is based on manufacturers guidance and previous experience, sometimes even trial and error.

i would phrase it – i try to understand what the true issue is or root cause so i can fix it correctly.

To come up with a hypothesis to study, I usually read what work has already been done on a topic, and then come up with a possible theory for what could be happening that I can test experimentally

generally I come up with hypotheses by thinking about the problem and either remembering certain concepts or going and reading scientific literature (journals or text books)
