it depends on what type of lab it is and what work is going on there for example a class 3 bio lab you need to wear a lot of PPE but a physics lab with no dangerous chemicals possibly just covered foot wear.

for my job, the kind of lab I work in doesn’t require lots of PPE because the pathogens I’m working with generally aren’t classed as very dangerous. But other vets, working with different, more dangerous pathogens, may need to use lots of PPE.
