My name is Ebrahim Salehi, a Doctor of Mechanical Engineering with a background in building services, boasting around 35 years of experience worldwide. I specialize in designing and installing all mechanical and electrical services for various types of buildings, including hospitals, residential, commercial, and educational facilities, from conceptual design to fully detailed coordinated designs.
For over 20 years, I served as a university lecturer in mechanical engineering, focusing specifically on new, green, and renewable energy, as well as energy management. I have a passion for learning every second and am eager to help and teach others. Additionally, I am known for my kindness, friendliness, and adventurous spirit as an engineer.

As an associated Engineer in building services and zero carbon and sustainable new green energy in the IW, I am responsible for leading and managing a team of mechanical engineers to design, develop and deliver sustainable mechanical building services solutions for construction projects. They are expected to have extensive knowledge and experience in low-carbon heating, renewable energy systems, and energy-efficient building design. I maintain in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial design through to construction and commissioning, and responsible for ensuring that all mechanical designs meet regulatory and quality standards, are delivered on time and within budget, and are aligned with the client’s expectations for sustainable, low-carbon buildings. I took a prominent role in projects of varying sized and complexity, working under guidance of the Director. I was involved in a range of projects in both the public and private sectors, some of these comprising of new build and refurbishment projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, education, hotel, shopping mall and leisure sectors. Manged my own workload and liaised with CAD and other PM departments to ensure delivery commitments were met. Quality control, H&S and document management that were in line with PM policies and systems was also an active part in my role. Provided all building services for a large site which had a central energy centre which was sized for this phase and an additional future district heating.
Other Responsibilities:
- Carrying out site condition surveys and produce feasibility reports with budget cost estimates for the building services elements of the work.
- Carry out conceptual and detailed design with calculations for building services systems in full compliance with legislation, regulations and current Codes of Practice, within budget and to client driven timescales and produce engineering specifications and report writing.
- Site attendance at project meetings. Inspection of installations, commissioning and witnessing activities, trials and factory acceptance tests for compliance with design intent and good engineering practice.
- Checking and approving work of other engineers.
- Most, if not all comprise of central / district heating systems and have heavy Carbon reduction targets to achieve. A wide range of renewable / LZC technologies are used on these schemes, although CHP seems to be a favourite of the GLA and local authority planning departments.
