I am more interested in how things around me work. I am so quite skeptical of what people or the news says… If I don’t see evidence, I won’t believe it.
its been the reason i get paid and given me purpose to make a difference. i too like Rebecca – believe in evidence and its helped me fix a lot of issues as i work on facts and not what people say.
Being a scientist has made me curious about almost everything, and that itself leads me to always want to know more about things around us. It has made me successful in my career and allowed me to work with some truly amazing people from around the world.
It keeps me curious about the world around me, looking for the details behind the bigger picture, exploring the less well known places which can be just as amazing as the ones everyone sees on social media
I think that science impacts all aspects of my life. Like others have mentioned it makes me more critical of the world around me, especially in a world of social media and fake news. It has also continued to fuel my curiosity in nature and to continue to ask questions of everything. I think the main point I have to add on previous questions is that the people I have met through science have shaped my life the most. Most of my friends and social relationships I have met through my roles in science and they are wonderful people I love dearly. Finding a space where you are surrounded by people with the same interests as you makes your life and work so much more fun.
