Cancer is a disease that involves the uncontrolled reproduction of cells. This can be caused by MANY different things, and can occur in MANY different parts of the body. It covers so many different types of disease that a single cure seems unlikely, or at least quite far away.
Researchers are working hard on understanding different cancer types to find solutions to each of those by understanding how the cancer occurs and hides from the immune system.
Although I do really hope we find a way to end cancer!

very tricky question! as Erin points out there’s no size fits all so i guess the future will be a whole catalogue of options from radiation, drugs, surgery and maybe even nanotechnology!

I think the cure for cancer will look like a transfusion via i.v. that has been tailored to be specific to the patient’s cancer. There are lots of common as well as unique mutations in cancer, so targetted treatments are likely to be the way forward. This does mean that I don’t think there will be one cancer cure; there will likely be millions of individual ones!
