There’re at least 2 different aspects to consider here, the first (as per Martin’s comment above) is the dimensionless singularity (perhaps consider this to be a puncture in space-time). The second is what is normally considered the ‘edge’ of the black hole which is the ‘event horizon’ – effectively a border between the visible universe and a spherical zone around the singularity from which nothing can escape (not even light). (Lets leave aside Hawking radiation at this point). The event horizon surrounding a black hole is a 3D sphere.

Could even be a 4D object as time comes into it! Some theorists say it could link dimensions.
