Students from St Mary’s Church of England Middle School jumped into an I’m a Scientist Chat all about Elements, Compounds, and The Periodic Table this month. They were very curious about what it’s like to be a scientist, digging into the work of experts ranging from a forensic scientist to a nuclear safety engineer.
One student in particular – axes520tref – had a lot of excitement to share. They were excited to connect with scientists like Sophie P, whose job they found “AMAZING”!! They came with a very positive attitude and left enjoying their subjects even more after talking with Sophie!
👏 Congratulations! 🥳
Could you win the next Moderator Award?
The Moderator Award is given by our moderators to students who have participated in one of the I’m a… activities. Be it for their positive attitude, their fluid conversational skills, their curiosity, their further engagement by reading scientists’ profiles in advance or asking further questions in our Ask feature.
The winning student earns a £20 Waterstones voucher as recognition for their stand-out engagement.
