Simply because I think they are interesting tools that can be used to solve interesting (hard) problems. I’ve been doing this a long time so that means I have a lot of experience in doing this. Plus, technology is always changing so something new comes along so it never gets boring.
They are mind-blowing in all honesty. Can you believe that someone made all of these parts, took them, put them together and created something that works on a bunch of 0’s and 1s to do everything we can do today? When you get deeper into the science behind computers and hardware engineering you see just how delicate and small things get, often working with machinery to create tiny components. A tiny bit of solder and boom, you have a system. Computers bring chemistry and physics to work!
