Question: Why do scientist test on animals?

Scientists do the very minimum with animals that they need. And all research work with animals is very tightly regulated in the UK, by the Government: you have to have 3 different licenses in place to do anything. Animal welfare is also extremely important. But the human body is very complex and sometimes we can only address that complexity by using animals.
