there are so many jobs like this!! any role in an operational area means you’re not at a desk and working – so in labs, manufacturing plants, research with nature – seas, rivers, land etc; horticulture, sports etc. key is find something you love and there will be roles that are active.
There are tons, and it depends a lot on what you’re interested in. You could be a field technician (working outside on some sort of research project), work in a lab or factory, in construction, etc.- it’s really up to you!
Just like the others say, there are lots and lots.
The ones closest to the work I do would be in panel manufacture, installation and site survey.
The site survey people get to research the sites and pick the best place or highlight any issues we might encounter.
The manufacture and installation people are the ones who take my designs and physically build panels/components and install them into the final site.
As others have answered, there are many jobs out there and it depends what you’re interested in! Many scientist roles include both office work and lab/field work, so it’s a mix of being sat at a desk and being active – this is a good fit for me!
It really depends on what you are interested in. If you want to be a scientist, we have teams of people who do monitoring – including working on boats to monitor our estuaries and coastal waters. You could also work in a lab – that it still inside but not sat at a desk.

I am going to say, I have a desk based job, but I take breaks every hour, and I break my day up with a 1 hour gym session as I have the freedom to manage my own time!
Lots of science happens outside! I personally work with plants, but you could be an entomologist (study creepy-crawlies), a geologist (rocks are cool), palaeontologist (fossils!), etc. I think horticulture is the best job of all- I am only behind a desk if I want to be, you can usually find me in a garden getting up close and personal with plants.
As others have said there are lots of options, another job example is a zookeeper, that’s very active and a lot of fun. There are also jobs that might be half outside field work and half inside desk work (where you write about what you’ve just done outside), for example an ecologist or field researcher.
