I worked with marine worms, snails, brittle stars (like little star fish) and tiny clams. I thought the clams were honestly really cute, how they’d open and close for food! I didn’t like the snails. They kept climbing out of my tanks!

I’m a physicist so we don’t really do animal research – but we can be inspired by animals! I do ultrasound measurements, and love finding out about how bats use ultrasound to catch their prey.

I work on parasitic worms, which are animals! Nematodes are the most abundant animal on Earth, making up around 80% of all individual animal life.
