In an academic setting, I feel a sense of belonging and acceptance – we are all somewhat “crazy” about what we study, and we show it. Also, the excitement I get when I know that I am closer to discovering something new!
I’ve worked at two biotech startups, and what makes it so exciting is that the things you work on can actually become real products that have the potential to make a difference in the world. It moves really fast, and you get to do a bit of everything – not just science experiments, but also planning projects and working with different teams! It’s a great place to grow and discover what you’re capable of!
