      I didn’t expect that I would have to run behind a truck to collect manure samples while they were spread. I didn’t think I can do it because it smelled awful but in science you do a lot of things you didn’t imagine. Now I remember this and laugh 😂

      Giving presentations about my work infront of people was something that I didn’t think I would ever do. Public speaking was never something I was comfortable with and would actively avoid.
      So if you had told me when I left school or even less than ten years ago, that I would stand on a stage infront of over a hundred people, to talk about the nuclear industry – I would have assumed that you had me mistaken for someone else.
      I still find it scary to do but once I start talking my confidence comes back and it works out fine.
