I think of it as the science of how the brain works. It’s sort of a combination of biology, psychology and computer science – different scientists use skills from each (as well as other topics) to answer research questions on how the brain works and what role it plays in the body.

Neuroscience is the scientific study of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves that control how we think, feel, move, and experience the world. It explores how the nervous system works, how it develops, and what goes wrong in conditions like epilepsy, depression, or brain injuries.
