first of all you will need to become a doctor, then specialise in cardiology. To be a doctor you need to go to medical school which often means you need strong science subjects at A level with good grades. After 5 years of studying you qualify as a doctor then need to train some more to specialize in cardiology. But that is a really interesting field – the heart is such an important part of our bodies and even little things wrong with it can have quite a big impact
To be a veterinary cardiologist is similar to what Jan has described for a human cardiologist – first you need to get strong science A levels to go to vet school to get your veterinary degree (that takes 5-6 years, depending on which university you go to) Then you need to do specialist veterinary cardiology training which can take another 5 years or so, depending on which animal species you want to work with (some cardiologists might specialise in pet animals, others might focus on horses, for example)
