      Hello 🙂
I work in agricultural research. My job is to help wheat plants stay healthy by understanding how they fight off harmful fungi that can make them sick. This is important because we need healthy wheat to make bread (pizza, cake, etc.) and food for everyone.

How It Helps the Environment: By making wheat stronger against diseases, we can grow more food without using too many chemicals. This helps keep our air and water clean. Plus, it helps us prepare for changes in the weather due to climate change, so we can keep growing food even when things get tough!

I work in a manufacturing facility so we can easily find ourselves responsible for making the environment worse. So we take our impact really seriously. We have Net Zero Groups looking to improve us all the time, we have solar panels, we send 0 waste to landfill etc. We go out of our way to try and make the environment better and minimize our impact.
