Question: is being an astronomer hard

It has its difficulties, but overall I find things you enjoy are less hard than things you don’t enjoy!
When I start a new project or try and learn a new skill it can be hard, but like everything you get better with practice. I think there is a misconception that to be an astronomer or a scientist you have to be a genius, but this is definitely not the case!
