Great question! I’m not an expert on snakes, but I think that the amount of venom depends on the individual species of snake. Also, we have to remember that some kinds of venom are more poisonous than others, in terms of how dangerous it is to be bitten by that snake, so it’s not just about the amount of venom, it’s about the toxicity of the venom itself. I’ve never done it, but I know that there are people whose job is to collect venom from certain snake breeds in order to use it for making ‘anti-venom’ which can be used to treat people who have been bitten.
