• Question: How does an astronaut recover after being in space for a long period of time?

      Roughly, for every day they spend in space they need to spend a day recovering on Earth.
      Normally they have 30-45 days of structured rehabilitation ( or reconditioning) when they get back, then they can do normal activities, but we can still measure differences in their bodies for a long time after they land.
