Hi, This is a very generic question which is difficult to answer accurately. Which subjects from the syllabus worries you the most? and which ones do you enjoy?
often familiarising yourself with the exam format and expected subject areas is a good place to start.
my advice would be to make a schedule for every day of study, and then stick with it. it pays of starting early and studying with understanding, rather than by rote, and revising the study schedule once you see how realistic the original plan was – you can reflect about the study skills that you need to improve in order to achieve the original schedule (in the likely case it was too optimistic), which is how you will also become a more efficient learner. this will become extremely valuable for future study – at A level and uni.
Ooof, I can’t help you much – I never had to do them, not having gone to school in the UK.
I guess try to do regular study sessions, and figure out how to best absorb knowledge – is it through reading, listening, or trying to explain it to someone else?
That depends on when you are sitting them and what your current grades are. I was a science teacher for 8 years and I saw people go from failing to getting top grades and most of the time what changed was their attitude to working hard. It isn’t easy to pass GCSEs, you need to compromise on fun/leisure time for a while to revise and do lots and lots of practice questions. Ask your teachers for advice and help but most of all just keep striving to do a little better each time you sit a test or do practice questions. Reading the information isn’t the best way to remember it either, try watching videos on the subject whilst writing/drawing out the diagrams, then test your classmates or family on it as teaching is the best way to learn 🙂
