      864,000 miles (1,392,000 km) in diameter, which makes it 109 times wider than Earth. (Google)

      This makes it 1,295,000 times larger than Earth by volume!

      Fun fact: 99.9% of all the mass in the solar system is in the Sun!

    Our Sun (note capital S as it’s the name of our star) is a very ordinary star, it has nothing special about it. All stars now appear to have planets, but a planet has to be in a perfect position, the right size, with a moon, water, etc for it to have a chance of harbouring life, that’s what makes Earth so special. We need to protect it!
