The smallest bone in our body is located in our ear and is called the stapes.
The ear is also responsible for helping us keep our balance.
It contains the Vestibular system, which is three canals (for the three axis) with fluid inside. Small hairs inside the canals detect the movement of the fluid and tells the brain. The brain uses this information to send instructions to the rest of our body to help keep our balance.
So when you spin around really fast and stop, you struggle to walk straight because even though you have stopped, the fluid inside the Vestibular system is still moving. So your brain gets you to walk as if you are still spinning, giving you that wobbly walk.

Your brain makes up only about 2% of your body’s weight but uses 20% of your body’s energy supply! Make sure you are fuelling your brain, especially when trying to learn or do exams.
