      A little. I travel a lot for courses and meetings, but I am mainly based in the office within the SRUC campus

      Not very often but sometimes we travel to other labs to see instruments in use that we want to buy before we purchase them for our lab and that involves a bit of travel.

    I have been very lucky to have the chance to travel in my job. When I did my PhD I spent a lot of time in southern Africa (Lesotho) where I worked with horse owners who use horses as working animals (for transport or to earn a living) to understand how a charity working in Lesotho could help owners improve their horses’ welfare. After I finished my PhD I worked for a different charity that supports working horse owners in several different countries, and I got to travel to some of those countries too – India, Pakistan, Jordan, Kenya and Ethiopia.
