      I am also passionate about science communication. That is why I have a part time role as a medical writer. This includes writing articles explaining multiple health related topics, such as different diseases, diets, and so on.

      I am currently doing a PhD. I am focusing on designing molecules, which could target specific proteins and be used as cancer treatments.

      My research is mainly done in the laboratory, however, it does involve quite a bit of computer work as well. To begin with, the molecules that I work with are design using a computer program. This makes the process a lot faster and easier than designing the molecules in the lab.

    • My Typical Day:

      As a PhD student I do not have a usual 9 to 5 job or a set schedule. My day to day activities can vary quite a bit. But I usually have some lab experiments to do as well as some work on the computer. The experiments in the lab can vary from a few hours to full day or overnight even.
