I’ve been involved in many projects over the years and all have been successful in terms of pushing our understanding. The key issue is how you measure success… Something doesn’t need to work to be successful. You simply need to learn something new that contributes to the big picture that you are developing!
I’ve had many! The biggest one I would say is the network migration project I worked on last year where hundreds of switches and servers were removed, upgraded and replaced. It highly improved infrastructure and security. My role played a part in the decommissioning (making sure the old stuff was configured so it can’t be reused by others, have data stolen and is sent back to where it came from.) It has moved the company forward greatly.
