Question: do you have to do presentatins or talk in large crowds in uni or n your workplace

Yes – I go to conferences a few times a year which means talking in front of a room full of people. At first I found it scary, but over time I have become more confident and feel less worried about it.

Yes, part of the job as a scientist is being able to communicate your scientific results effectively, including through giving oral presentations or writing (in the form of journal publications). It was scary at first, but you do get better at it with practice. It is a useful skill to have for any graduate job, not just for scientists.

yes, doing presentations is part of my job. Sometimes this can feel scary, especially if it’s to a large audience or when you first start to do this but you can get used to it and learn to feel more confident about doing it. Some people find doing presentations easier than some other people, and it’s natural to feel worried, even if sometimes people don’t show it!
