I like working with other people, as I find it helpful to share ideas, figure out problems together. When I worked as a vet I was usually working on my own, driving from one patient to the next one, so I had to rely on my own problem solving skills to figure things out.
Nowadays, if I’m working on calculations/doing analysis/trying to write a long document I need to work on my own, without distractions, as I find that’s easier for concentrating.

It is essential in any working environment that you are able to work effectively with other people.
Most jobs and science in particular, require a range of skills or attributes and it’s likely that the people around you will have skills that you have yet to acquire These people are more likely to help you when you show them respect and consideration.
Science brings together people with complementary skills and a diverse array of personalities..
We are always stronger and more effective when we can collaborate.
